Total interactions: 0

(likes + comments + shares + saves) ÷ followers or views × 100. Runs in your browser; nothing is sent anywhere.

How to use it

  1. Enter the account's followers when the post went out.
  2. Enter the post's views, if you have them.
  3. Enter likes, comments, shares and saves.
  4. Read both rates and compare them with your own recent posts.

How do you calculate engagement rate?

Add up the interactions (likes, comments, shares and saves), divide by followers or by views, and multiply by 100. Some tools count only likes and comments, which is why published figures rarely agree.

Which rate should you use?

By followers to compare accounts; by views to compare posts. A post that reached far beyond your followers can have a low rate by followers and a high rate by views, and the second is the fairer measure of the post.

Frequently asked questions

What is a good engagement rate?+

One that beats your own average. Published benchmarks count different things for different accounts, so the most useful comparison is with your last ten posts.

Should saves and shares count?+

Yes. They are stronger signals than likes because they take more effort, and the platforms show them in your post analytics.
